THE TĀMAKI WELLBEING FUND
The Tāmaki Wellbeing Fund is investing in community-led projects that help people flourish.
We are giving this $15,000 to YOU, the people of Tāmaki, to help increase the wellbeing of your area.
Local people know their community best so we have created a unique process which puts residents in the driver’s seat to decide where and how this $15,000 will be spent.
Anyone from Tāmaki (Pt England, Panmure or Glen Innes) can apply for a portion of the $15,000 (either $5k, $2.5k or $1k). We will take it to the Facebook community to vote for whom they want to win.
WHAT IS WELLBEING
Wellbeing is something you can feel but, like love and other emotions, it's kind of hard to explain. It can also look different to different people.
For us, at Tāmaki Wellbeing, wellbeing includes a sense of hope, one's culture, identity, and purpose. A well-run community should make sure people's needs are met and provide the opportunity for people to discover who they are, what their inner nature is and the ability for them to pursue it.
The Tāmaki Wellbeing Fund want to help create a flourishing society where our people are happy, healthy, capable and engaged.
We are putting this fund into the hands of you, the people of Tāmaki, to submit applications of funding for any project you think will increase the wellbeing of your community.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
WHAT DOES A WINNING ENTRY
LOOK LIKE?
We are looking for any and all entries from the people of Tāmaki. Nobody knows your community better than you do, so we need you to show us how to increase the wellbeing of your area.
You can apply for three monetary values: $5,000, $2,500 or $1,000 which could bring to life your idea. It could be small, like a shared-library in your neighbourhood or big, like turning a bus shelter into a friendship chair.
Whatever it is, we want to hear it!
Your idea doesn't have to be completely ready to implement. The winner/s will be given one-on-one expert help to bring the project to life.
To give your entry the best chance of making it through to the public voting stage, please ensure it fits the below criteria:
-
Applicants must currently live in Tāmaki
